Easter Egg Hunts

I went to 2 easter egg hunts. The first one was up at Carson Long. I got 13 eggs. Liam, Lauren, Daniella, Jon, and Derek were at the first easter egg hunt. At the second easter egg hunt, it was held at Blain Elementary School. I got 7 eggs. I didn't see any kids I knew. I saw teachers I knew.

The First Day of 2010

Today is the first day of the new year. We went to Ampa and Grandma's house and saw the Penn State game. We had hot dogs, watermelon, strawberries, cantaloupe, honeydew, and pineapple. We also had soda and lunch meat. Penn State won 19-17 against LSU. And all I did was watch TV in Grandma and Ampa's room. We were all dressed in Penn State clothes.

Polar Express Night at the Blain Library

Mrs. O'Toole was reading the Polar Express to us. We got silver bells that jingle like our hearts.

Lots of kids were here. We enjoyed the story. I was wearing my polar bear pjs for the Polar Express. Marc was wearing polar bear pjs too! I saw a first grader that I knew. I saw him at school one day, then I saw him at the library.

I was making reindeer food for Santa's reindeer. Rudolph would like it. I put sprinkles and seeds and oats into a bag. Reindeer like all these things and so does Rudolph.

I was sitting on Santa's lap. I told him what I wanted. I also told him that Mrs. Wileman was on the good list. Then Santa gave me a candy cane and I got to pick out a gift. I picked out a dog that has a snowflake on his scarf and I named him Sprocket. He has black spots on his feet, a red scarf, brown eyes, and he has pointy ears. I'm sleeping with him tonight.

Christmas Tree Farm

Yesterday I got my Christmas tree. I had so much fun. We got to cut down the tree ourselves. Daddy started the saw. Then Daddy let me saw the rest. I got half way through. Then Daddy helped me again because I couldn't get through the whole thing. I held onto the tree so Daddy could cut it down. Then we took it back to the tractor. We had a hay ride. I sat on a bundle of hay and took pictures. When we were back at the Christmas tree farm, they used a tree shaker to shake all the loose needles off. Then they wrapped the Christmas tree with the wrapper machine. Then we talked to Mrs. Conaway and gave her the money. Then we picked out a wreath. Today we decorated the tree and put the lights on. We needed to replace a bulb. Then we went shopping in the afternoon. We got replacement lightbulbs and gifts.

The 1st day of November

Today I went to church and did my presentation at church. Then we got to go to Grandma's house. My friends were playing stick fort. Emma and Sway built a rock fort that looked like a volcano. Sway was making a hole in the middle of the volcano and Emma was making the plans. The boys were making a stick fort and Jacob was making the walls. When Memphis left, me and Jacob were the only boys left at Grandma's house, but Emma was the only girl left and we played a game.

Getting Ear Surgery

Having ear surgery isn't really that fun. They put you to sleep whenever they put the tubes in. Whenever they put the tubes in, they put a little hole in your ear. Then usually they fall out in a year. I brought my Penguin to the surgery place when I got my tubes. I had to wear a mask when they put me to sleep. It took about 10-15 minutes. When I was done, we went to McDonalds and I had pancakes and sausage.

Today at School

Today at school in the morning we had no special! Mrs. Cassner didn't come either. We did more silent reading. Then after we finished that we went back to the SmartBoard and did calendar. I was light technician today. I did not have a calendar job. Calendar Cop was Dominick. After calendar we did our math activity for the day. After that we went back to our seats to start math. When we were done with math, we used kind of like a theater to do a problem solving game. After the game we had a little walk around the school. Then we went to lunch and recess. After recess, we did writing. We did a graphic organizer about our bedrooms. After that, we did independent work. Whenever we were done with our work, we got ready for home. Then at 2:00, Mrs. Snyder left for a dentist appointment. Mrs. Weaver came in to our room. We played a game with Mrs. Weaver that was like a hypnotizing game. Then they called dismissal for 4th and 5th grade, then kindergarten, then 1st, 2nd, 3rd all together. When everyone left they called walkers and I went to Aunt Risa's and jumped on the jumpy thingy.

The Street Fair

We had a fun time at the Street Fair. I got to play many games. I didn't do the Big Wheel race this year or the bike race because I was at my soccer game. I got some blue glow in the dark slime. It is really sticky. Shane and I made a squirrel out of markers and our hands. We colored the marker on our hand and put our hand on the paper. Then it would make the body, head, and other stuff. Some kids used their imaginations. One of the kids made a giraffe and one made a cow. We used the sketch of the pig. Mommy made a pig. I rode my scooter all afternoon. I was really tired when we got home. It was a good day. I had fun.

First Week of School

This week I started school. I had lots of fun with Mrs. Snyder on the first day. I also got to make a saucer on the first day of school. We are going to have our faces in them like we are driving them! Then after a few things, we went to special that was art. We made anything we want. Zoie made a Steelers sign and I wrote a poem about my summer. The best part about school is drawing on the SmartBoard. Today on the SmartBoard, we played the Wii. We played Brain Age! It was really hard! Especially the expert ones! I like second grade and I will have a fun day tomorrow. It will be the 4th day of school already and FRIDAY!!!

Going to the Fair

The fair was fun. I saw lots of animals at the fair. I also got ice cream. First we ate dinner. I ate 100 fries and one piece of chicken. I didn't really like the chicken. We also went to see my picture and Daddy's pictures. Daddy's had a 4th place ribbon. Once we got the ice cream we left. Then there was a storm for about 20 seconds. After a few miles, it rained again. By the time we got home, it stopped!

My First Soccer Game 2009

My soccer game was fun. I got to play the sweeper that I have never played before. We didn't have a sweeper last year.
We played a Shermans Dale team. I played against Daniella D. We won the game 4-0!
I was really hot and tired at the end of the game!
After the game, I got my picture taken with Daniella and her brother, John.

Busy Day!

We had a really busy day. First we needed to go to the Perry County Fair to drop off the picture I entered for judging. Then we went to McDonald's and got food. I got a white car instead of a Beanie Baby. We went back to Aunt Risa's and had a picnic inside! Then we played with the hermit crabs! The escape artist almost escaped. He's one of the hermit crabs. Then we went to the mall and saw Mommy's friend she hadn't seen for a long time. We got lemonade. After we left, we went to Grandma and Pappy's with Jango to let him run around. The Henriettas were out but he was good about not chasing them.

The Tye Dye Party

The tye dye party was really fun. Colin and Izzy came. We watched The Cooking Mouse, which was really Ratatouille. After we watched The Cooking Mouse, we ate dinner. Colin and Izzy had Spaghettios and I had a hamburger. When we were done eating, we headed outside to do the tye dye party. I tye dyed my soccer socks and burp clothes for the baby. Then Izzy made her shirt and Colin made his shirt. Then we played for a little bit and Mommy, Daddy, and Aunt Risa finished the rest. Then after we played a little bit, they went home. Now I am blogging and soon have to go to put the Henriettas in for Grandma once Daddy and Jango come back. Then I am going to bed.

Han's Fishing Day

Uncle Kerry, me and Colin were going down the hill to Little Buffalo to find a good spot to fish. At the first spot we didn't catch anything. We were there for one hour. Then we went somewhere else and I caught a fish. I almost caught one of Yoda's brothers (a turtle).

The Henriettas

The Henriettas have their own yard to run around in. I'm taking care of the Henriettas because Grandma isn't there to take care of them.

I had to put out corn and food for the Henriettas in their yard for them to scratch and eat. I also have to collect their eggs and clean out the hen house.
I also have to feed Sammy because Grandma and Pappy are on vacation and they are going to Yellowstone.

My Day with Daniella and John

When I woke up, I had to get dressed and eat breakfast. Then we went to Daniella's house and drove over to the movie theater to watch Star Wars: The Clone Wars. It was a free movie day. Then we went to Subway to eat lunch. I almost ate a whole foot long. John and Daniella can't even eat a 6 inch! Then we went to the piano store and got my new piano books. We looked at the guitars and I liked the one I have and one other one in the store. Daniella and John liked ones too. John liked a black one and Daniella liked a blue one with bubbles. Then we went back to Daniella's house and I had my piano lessons. I finished my first set of books! Then I moved to Set B. I'm working on one of Daniella's favorite songs. Then me and John played Wipeout and parades. I was wearing a Steelers helmet that John had. We had 2 parades. I had a fun day with John and Daniella.

"Kitten's First Full Moon" by Kevin Henkes

There is a kitten in the story that thinks the moon is a big bowl of milk. She tries to lick it, but all she gets is a bug. She keeps trying to get the bowl of milk, but she falls down the stairs. She runs fast but she can't catch it. She climbs up a tree and still can't reach it. Then she gets stuck in the tree. Kitten sees a white circle in the pond and thinks it's a bigger bowl of milk. When she leaps for it, she gets all wet. So she goes home to a nice bowl of milk for her.

Grand Canyon day 2

Today was a fun day. We got to see a squirrel at the Grand Canyon. Then we went to a Jr. Rangers program about big horn sheep. Then after that we went to the Grand Canyon for a while. We got to see different points all around the Grand Canyon.
